The truth of the existence of Madhya Pradesh-
Bhopal today is the 64th foundation day of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh came into existence on 1 November 1956 Madhya Pradesh used to come in central India. But after the independence on 15 August 1947, all the princely states of the country were integrated into independent India. After which on 1 November 1956, Central India came to be known as Madhya Pradesh in the whole country. After the formation of Madhya Pradesh, all the leaders of the country suggested the names of the then Prime Minister Pt. Jabahar Lal Nehru to Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior, but among all these, Nehru was very fond of Bhopal. Due to this, Bhopal was chosen as the capital of Madhya Pradesh.

The Constitution came into force on 26 January 1950, followed by the first general elections in the country in 1951–1952. Due to which Parliament and Legislature became functional. In terms of administration, they were divided into categories. The reorganization of states in 1956 resulted in the creation of Madhya Pradesh as a new state on 1 November 1956. This region was reorganized on a linguistic basis. Its constituent states were Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Bharat, Vindhya Pradesh and Bhopal which had their own assemblies. This state was formed by merging the erstwhile CP and Berar, Central India, Vindhya Pradesh, and Bhopal. Being in the middle of India, it was also formerly known as Central India.

Bhopal was chosen as the capital-
With the formation of the state on 1 November 1956, its capital and assembly was also selected. Bhopal was chosen as the capital of Madhya Pradesh. After becoming the capital, in 1972, Bhopal was declared a district. At the time of the formation of Madhya Pradesh, the total number of districts was 43. Today Madhya Pradesh has a total of 52 districts.

The conflict in these cities regarding the capital -
There was a conflict in these cities regarding the capital, the first name was echoing Gwalior then Indore, along with the State Reorganization Commission suggested the name of Jabalpur for the capital but there were more buildings in Bhopal, which were suitable for government work. For this reason, Bhopal was chosen as the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The Nawabs of Bhopal did not want to have relations with India at all. He along with the Nizam of Hyderabad started opposing India. To stop anti-national activities in the heart of the country, it was decided to make Bhopal the capital of Madhya Pradesh.

Development is a continuous process and since the inception of the state, everyone has contributed to the development of Madhya Pradesh according to their understanding and capacity. Constant efforts are being made to make Madhya Pradesh not only India but also to join the most developed, powerful, capable, prosperous and leading states of the world. Like every year, Madhya Pradesh is celebrating Foundation Day on 01 November this year.
